1. When is a video Available for download?

When the toolbar's graphic goes from this grey image:

To this color image:

It means there is media available to download. In firefox, this icon will be animated.

2. There is an embeded video on the page that I am on, but the icon did not turn from grey to color- why can't I download the video?

If it is an embedded video, you must press play for the video to become available for download. If that doesn't work, click through to the original source of the video and download from there.

3. How do I download Videos?

Click on the color icon on the toolbar that says "save video". This will bring up a dropdown menu with all the videos that are available on the page you are on. If there are multiple objects on the page, the video you want is most likely the largest file from the dropdown menu. Select that file and it will start the download.

4. Where is the IE toolbar?

Sometimes the IE toolbar will be installed but not display right away. To make sure it displays, right click at the top of your browser between the navigation bar and the browser window. There you will see a list of all available toolbars. Select Video Downloader from the list and the toolbar will appear as seen in this screenshot:

5. How do I play the videos I downloaded?

The easiest way to play almost ANY video you download is to use the Free VLC player. Even if you already have VLC player installed, it is reccommended that you check to make sure you have the most recent version installed.

6. Why does the toolbar have Bing Search?

Bing Search has the best engine for searching for videos. To search for videos, enter your search terms in the toolbar search box and select "Search Video" from the drop down menu.

7. What does the translate button do?

The translate button translates the page you are on into English. To check it out, head over to a page written in Spanish or some foreign language and press translate. The Engine auto-detects the language for you and translates it into English.

8. What does the Stumble button do?

Each time you click Stumble! your browser loads a new page submitted by other members who share the same interests you specified in your profile. This feature works better if you have a stumble account, but still works even if you don't.

9. Why am I unable close my browser window?

If you are using Internet Explorer you cannot close the browser window until the download is completed (or canceled).

10. Why am I only able to download 1 video at a time?

In Internet Explorer, to download more than one video at a time, you have to have a new tab or window open for each video you want to download.
